We specialize in manufacturing eye-catching outdoor signage that offers your client’s the best of both worlds – a lightweight and durable eps foam monument sign. All of our exterior monument signs have a lightweight, eps foam core and are sprayed with our exclusive Poly-Armor™ hard coat that makes our monument signage impervious to rot, termites and moisture.
HDU Sign Panels
Foamcraft in partnership with Fairdale Signs are pleased to offer 100% wholesale high density urethane (HDU) sign panels with a variety of custom options. Our line of custom signs can be v-carved or sprayed to simulate a sandblasted finish or wood grain appearance. In addition to multiple textures, we also offer 20 standard paint colors available in two types of sheens, gloss or semi-gloss.
Select one of our 60 standard sign panel designs or send us a custom HDU sign shape, the choice is yours. All sign panels are precision cut and finished using the highest quality of materials. Panels are available in thicknesses ranging from 1” – 3” thick and sizes up to 4’x8’. Looking for a larger sign panel? High Density Urethane – Technical & Fabrication Process
Sign Panels, Hanging Signs, Fascia Signs, Dimensional Letters
High Density Urethane, often referred to as HDU, is a rigid polyurethane foam used in manufacturing sign panels, dimensional letters, and architectural accents. We are committed to utilizing only the highest quality products and use the CORAFOAM® brand of HDU in all of our manufacturing. CORAFOAM® is specifically designed by DUNA-USA for the signage industry. Manufactured with an extremely tight cell structure, CORAFOAM® is very easy to carve.
The HDU Sign Manufacturing Process
First, the substrate must be prepared for routing. Typically, masking and priming are the first two steps in the manufacturing process. CORAFORM® HDU panels are pre-sanded, minimizing the need for messy sanding and additional pre-production labor. Moreover, our process does not require stenciling of the initial design.
Next, our manufacturing team routes the design, using our 3D CNC router and primes the panel—ready for paint, using a large CNC 3D router to route all of our HDU panels. Additionally, we utilize a high-build primer which has been extensively tested with CORAFOAM® and produces excellent, long-lasting results.
Finally, your sign is finished using the Matthews Acrylic Polyurethane paint system.
